Today he finally decided he could go through the rivers from the "scary" side - yes it's taken this long to convince him after our mishap in Feb 2023!!! He'd do them from the other direction but not this way, though he would paddle and dunk his nose in the edge and occassionally go a bit further but bottle it and needed to go back before he was right through. Today he decided he could be brave after all and went for it, though he did have a slight chicken moment on the dry land between the crossings - sorry love, at that point you'r committed 😂 . Once we got to the track his reward was a good long picnic, hopefully that will make him think it was worthwhile :)

Yes the picnic might induce him to think its worthwhile 🙂 🐴
 
Grass and greenery is a huge incentive this time of year, all the grass has burnt pff his field and even the weeds are giving up now.
 
The downside of being on chalk is that it holds almost no moisture and the soil is thin so in these conditions everything burns off.
