Hi gang, bloody hell, being a bit blind it took me a while to notice I had a pm and that we had been moved, thought someone had said something naughty and we had been cut off in our prime.

Anyway we are hear now......... how are you all, hope all hooves are well, hows
Vicky?

Acorn about the same on bute reduction now and boots off in the field , he has been okay in the yard on the concrete and moving better over the track to his paddock, so may try him a walk up the road tomorrow without, had a busy weekend, a lot of s**t flying, families eh! anyway hopefully back to normal so
can concentrate on the little man again. we had a show planned for him today but hes not off the bute yet, hes looking damn good so its a shame, weighed him again and we are holding station at 155kg , hes not looking ribby which is great, I swear it's the lammi prone its the only thing that's really changed for him.

anyway going to bed now, just happy to find you all again......back in tomorrow for updates..... stay safe
Lx

With you Tracey - we still have active lammi and remedial going on so input is still as important for us all and from the number of views on this so do many others - I for one don't want to lose all the experience/tips we have in this thread, I use it to search on often when I see something and know we have touched on it in here..... as you say others input is just as important there is just so much unknown about it still........

Just a little update - Bobs and Acorn are still up and down with the ground conditions - Bobs especially has come such a long way, Acorn after his setback is coming right again - just time and trimming now I hope.

As if the fight with and loss of Lucy, Debs is now repeating her experiences with Vicky but much better prepared and knowing her determination to beat this she will get there ......

Totally different horses/ponies by way of breed, age and lifestyle all with the same underlying issues , the last 18 months has been somewhat of a shock to me after all my years with horses and not touched personally by Laminitis, I had always been so careful but that in itself it seems is not enough for some for others watching the weight, exercise and general lifestyle can be the difference, I know with our other two all that I have learnt and experienced is reflected in management changes we have made, prevention (hopefully) rather than the alternative, I am not stupid enough to believe I have this sussed in our case, I am not looking forward to next winter, I have learnt a lot but wether it will be enough to keep him lammi free I don't know but it won't be for the lack of trying.

If anyone has any experiences to add then please do, everycase is different and something that works for one may help someone else, it may seem to be something quite small but it could make a huge difference.
