I have a set of Laube Lazer clippers which I bought last year. Worked fine last year, now they are leaving really bad track marks, so I'm having to go over and over the clipped area to take off all her coat. I had the blades sharpened 2 months ago and have only used them twice for a blanket clip on a 11.1hh pony. Any one got any suggestion on what it can be?

The other thing is on these clippers does the blade lock do anything, my blades seem to snap on and off without pushing this button up.

Any help would be useful. Thanks

All the blurb I've read suggests that a bit of dirt in the coat can blunt clipper blades instantly - perhaps this is what has happened. I assume you've tried adjusting the tension to see if that makes any difference?

Can't help with the make specific question though:)

Don't know why this happens but you can sometimes get trace marks when you have just started clipping - not sure why.

This happened to start with with my Laube clippers. Start up the clippers without the blade in and put the blade on the clip, then push the blade lock button up at the same time as pushing the blade in - this seems to lock it - took me ages to work it out.

Good Luck.
