Speakers on your saddle?

Does anyone know of any speakers that you can attach to your saddle, or know of any good portable speakers that I can make a bag for to attach to my saddle?

I can think of nothing worse than listening to music when out walking, riding or taking the dogs out. riding??? why would you? We put the stereo on in the school for all to hear when schooling, I don;t get I-pods on all the time

Because we want to listen to music when we are hacking, and want to be able to speak to each other, so don't want ear phones.

Now I do like music whilst riding,but I like piano, violin classical type music. A film score is also good,not singing though,drives me mad! I do like this idea though,where is the one in the link from? No advice on good speakers though!

One in link is from the USA, also seen one that fits into saddle bags on the front, but it's a horn bag, and don't have anything with a horn to fit to anymore.

I've been looking at speakers on ebay but need them to have a decent amount of volume so we can actually hear it, otherwise it's pointless having them.

Oo that bag is great, I brought a little portable speaker for when we do massive rides as we found after 5/6 hours conversation can run thin and I think headphones when out and about is dangerous.

Just why? Why would you - OMG I can't think of anything worse when I am immersed in the beautiful countryside with my horse or my dogs! Or walking with friends or family If conversation runs out then just enjoy the silence, not every moment has to be filled with noise and speech and distraction of music or a radio or whatever. Each to their own and all that, but I think I would gallop off into the distance if my riding buddy turned on the radio or started blasting music all over the countryside.

I find classical music relaxing which helped me no end when my confidence was low,it helped me relax which in turn kept my horse relaxed. I don't often go out in company so no conversation except between me and the horse which I do enjoy
I will also admit to pretending I am in some horse movie in the woods,like Lord of the rings or into the west and the music makes it more fun! I'm mad I know but I don't really care

The silence is wonderful, don't get me wrong but when we were doing very long days it was good to help keep energised and spirits up if we started to hit the wall.

I would love speakers on my saddle. Sometimes I take my iPod (it has one built in) and Haakon and I listen to Dead Ringers as we plod along. He listens too!

Can you not just buy speakers for your phone?
I don't use music for riding, listening to that, plus, riding,plus talking, omg my brain.

I can just about ride and stay on, thats two things

This looks really good, thank you I think I have been looking at a similar one on ebay, I like the idea of waterproof.
