Part would work for me but as she lives out, it means the person needs to poop pick, do the water and move the fencingNormally with part everything is done from Monday to Friday and the weekends are your responsibility. My livery is slightly different as I also get turnout done at weekends too. This works well because they all get their breakfast at the same time and nobody gets left in or out on their own (and also means I don't have to get up early!)
just seen one advertised for april locally, wondering how hilly it is and how far the shorter ride is so Harmony can goI've got a pleasure ride booked next weekend (if it goes ahead, weather not looking good atm). I've been trying to do a bit more work with AJ the last 2 or 3 weeks as it suddenly dawned on me how close the PR is and how unfit he was.
Took him for our final hills outing before the big day yesterday and it dawned on me that I'm not sure I want him to be any fitter lol. He's only been to this place twice before, not terribly recently, but he remembered exactly how to get to the top of the hill and where he could gallop.
I should appreciate his enthusiasm more. I remember how much I missed it with Raf when he developed Cushings and lost his spark. He did get it mostly back after diagnosis and treatment but it never felt quite the same.
It is damp and muddy here, but I can't face doing anything even in hand - its windy. Plus the farrier came this morning and now its time for them to go back out. But I will try later on in the week. I'm envious of you all keeping going lately - its just not been fit here.Another wet day, so another in hand walk for 40 minutes
Handsome Harvey. Hahaha, love the "unauthorised" holes in his net! We've had pants weather here, sympathise with the rain. Today has been dry and cold - hopefully our fields will dry up a bit.Another 3 days of rain
On Thursday I took Harvey out for a hand graze in the rain. Friday was just relentlessly horrid. On Saturday I managed to nip into the school between the rain - Harvey was a bit overexcited and spooky so as I was on my own at the yard I decided to quit while I was still on top!
Sunday was finally dry(ish) and I managed a hack with one of the other liveries and didn't get too soaked
Harvey's hay net seems to have some unauthorised holes in it.

Wow, so you haven't ridden since last year lol its not that long ago - but sometimes it feels it (least it did for me). I'm looking forward to doing some in hand as well. We are drying up a bit touch wood.Looks like a fun day there.
